PHYSICS 20
Mon - We reviewed the questions from last class together as a class.  We did notes on Significant Figures and Operations as well as notes on Formula Manipulation.  Students need to complete Pg. 13 #2ac,3ac,4ac,5ac from their notes as well as Pg. 16 odd numbers from their notes.  DUE NEXT CLASS.
Tue - Chapter Review: Pg. 24 #31-39,41,42. DUE NEXT CLASS.  Unit 1 Exam Sept. 25 (tuesday).
Wed - Continued Unit 1 Review: Pg. 25 #47,51,55,56,59,60,67ace,68ab,70ace. DUE NEXT CLASS.
Thur - Students started working on a Length Lab.  Lab Report is due Sept. 27.
Fri - We did a worksheet to ensure that students are familiar with their calculators before the Unit exam.

Mon - Quick review of solving Square Rootes and Pythagorean Theorem.  Then we moved on to examples from Ch. 1.4: Surface Area  of Right Pyramids and Right Cones.  Different examples were done and then I assigned students to determine the Surface Area of a Cylinder with Diameter of 6" and Height of 10cm.  DUE NEXT CLASS.
Tue - no class
Wed - I did a couple examples of Surface Area together with the class.  No homework.
Thur - Examples from Ch.1.4.  Assignment: Pg. 34 #5,6a,7a,8,11,13b.  DUE NEXT CLASS.
Fri - Ch. 1.5 Examples and then I assigned: Pg. 42 #4,5,8,10,12.  DUE NEXT CLASS.

Mon - Ch. 1.4: Proving Conjectures and Deductive Reasoning.  I did 4 different examples.  Will continue this next class.  No assignment.
Tue - Pg. 31 #1,2,4,5,7,8,10.  DUE NEXT CLASS.
Wed - We reviewed yesturday's assignment together as a class.  We then went to the computer lab to research and prepare to teach an example of Deductive Reasoning.  We discussed each students' findings at the end of class.
Thur - Discussed examples from Ch. 1.5: Proofs that are not Valid.  Assignment: Pg. 42 #1-3.
Fri - Discussed examples from Ch. 1.6: Reasoning to Solve problems.  Assigned: Pg. 48 #1,4,6,7,8.  DUE NEXT CLASS.

Mon - Started Chapter Review from the text.  Pg. 70 all questions.  Unit exam on Wednesday.
Tue - continued working on Unit 1 Review. Test tomorrow.  I answered questions that students had regarding this unit.
Wed - Unit 1 Test.
Thur - no class - Rush For Gold in Humboldt.
Fri - Introduced and started planning Unit 2 Project.

Mon - Reviewed the updates of the NHL lockout (pertaining to last day's assignment).  Then we moved on to notes on Wikipedia 101.  Assignment: Students picked a Wiki page and had to research and answer question pertaining to the banners, history, editting, etc.  Will continue this next class.
Tue - continued working on Wiki 101 Assignment fro  yesturday.
Wed - Notes on Proper Keyboarding and Posture.  Students went to the lab and started working on a Webquest to build a Flyer on proper Keyboarding Tequniques and Posture to prevent Workplace injuries.
Thur - no class - Rush For Gold in Humboldt.
Fri - Continued working on Ergonomic Brochure.
